Building Control Surveyor / Senior Building Control Surveyor
Salary up to £43,998 pa – Plus lease car or cash alternative of £3,050 pa

 Ashford Borough has a rich heritage but is also embracing growth with its ambitious plans for the future with a number of large scale projects on the way.

We are not only a progressive Building Control team but also part of the council’s in house company delivering a consultancy service to a wide range of clients. The successful post holder will be expected to deliver the Building Control function and ideally contribute to the delivery of consultancy services.

Then we are looking for you!

Grading and salary is dependent of assessment on career grade structure as referred to in the job description and person specification. However, we are looking to appoint at the senior level where you will be qualified to MRICS, MCABE or MCIOB level as you will be involved with the full range of building control activities for which you will need extensive knowledge including substantial experience of commercial and major projects. Any additional skills which can be used to deliver consultancy services would be advantageous.

You will need to be customer focussed and have a commitment to service delivery, along with a degree of flexibility in decision making.

You must fit into the team dynamics and be customer focussed with a commitment to service delivery. You should also be able to show initiative and quality in decision making.
